They staff was very friendly to us, but they didn’t seem to be interacting with the residents much. Our mother-in-law spent a little over 6 weeks in rehab at CBV after a hip fracture. Riveridge Rehab is a nursing home with a memory care wing that was much more depressing and more like a hospital. It didn’t seem quite well-kept, and they didn’t seem like they paid that much attention to the residents. The rooms were like hospital rooms and you had to use their hospital beds. They were double rooms separated by curtains on slides, so there wasn’t much privacy, and it kind of smelled funky. They had a stimulation room with music and colors moving on the wall. They also had physical therapy, but the people we saw there weren’t doing much.

My brother selected Healthwin, and we’re happy. What made us choose the place was the reputation of their rehab department, and the fact that’s been in the area for a long time. It’s a very clean and well-serviced facility. We ate a meal with everyone as they allow you to eat 30 meals a month with your loved one. They have crafts, and for Father’s Day, they are having a barbecue.

First of all, I don’t think they have enough staff, particularly seeing only a couple around several clients or people that need of care. For these places to be considered forever homes for some people, my dad being one of them, I would never want this to be anybody’s forever home.
I like the administrator, and so does my mom. It is not bad; it is actually really good. It is an older facility, but they keep up on it. They just now started back up with activities.
It was great, but it was just really confined. They had more cameras than a casino in there. Their staff was more hands on, and food was always brought to you.
Since Elevate came on board, I have witnessed change for the better in terms of the staff, their work ethic.
